August 2015. Cargill, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and the Ukrainian stevedoring company MV Cargo signed a tripartite memorandum on the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a grain terminal in the Pivdennij sea port.
March 2016. Start of earthwork operations. Construction area - 24 hectares.
August 2016. Start of the floor storage warehouse construction, one of the largest facilities of it’s kind among grain terminals in Ukraine.
August 2016. Laying of the foundations for 14 silos.
March 2017. Start of construction of berth # 25.
December 2017. One of the world's leading companies, China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC), completed the dredging operations, having completed them 3 months ahead of schedule. The depths at the approach channel were increased from 16 m to 19 m, and to 16 m at berth # 25. The total volume of dredging amounted to 4.393 million cubic meters of soil.
May 2018. The terminal processed the first railway wagons with grain in test mode.
June 2018. The terminal started working in test mode. Grain handling took place according to a temporary scheme at the berth of the TIS container terminal.
September 6, 2019. Grand opening of the grain terminal.
September 6, 2019. The first call of the bulk carrier «STAR ERACLE» at berth №25.The terminal began handling vessels at its own berth.
